July Newsletter
It is hard to believe that
it is already July! With all the
rain and delays in planting,
the Spring has just flown
by, and here we are in the season of Summer.
That means lots and lots of activities!!
Our next meeting coming up
will feature Ray Hoffman and Bob Stevens who will have a program on Steam
Traction Engines. Bob has recently
received his Steam
Engineer’s license, and
you all know Ray really knows the story on both Gas and
Steam Tractors.
This will be a meeting not to be missed!
There are a lot of shows and
activities to attend this summer, here are just a few:
June 28: Nodaway Valley
Museum Tractor Show and Open House–be sure to bring a tractor and/or implement
for the show
June 29: Farmer’s and
Merchant’s Picnic and Tractor Drive in Tabor, Iowa (contact Lowell Miller of
Tabor for details). The Drive will
be held instead of the Antique Tractor Pull
July 8: Regular Meeting at
Yorktown
We have a list of upcoming
shows available if you missed the last meeting.
Contact any Board Member for a list.
Speaking of the last
meeting, wasn’t touring the Nodaway Valley Museum great?
The comment heard most was
“I didn’t know there was so much to see!”
It would surely be worth another trip to see everything that you missed
seeing the first time.
The recent Tractor Drive was
well attended with about 28 tractors participating.
It was a nice day, although windy, and the buffet at Dolly’s was
delicious!!
Next Meeting:
Tuesday, July 8
7:00 p. m.
Yorktown Town Hall
Everyone is
welcome–bring a friend!!
